What We Do

The Society, founded in 1975 and with its strong interest in detailed and well researched ship model making, now has a wealth of experience and provides the following support to its members:

A website able to provide members with access to a high degree of model making information including research.

Regular meetings which are held at various locations, at present mainly in the South of England.

An annual exhibition of members’ work at suitable locations, which is open to the public but may contain a period for members only to participate in a seminar

A monthly newsletter: ‘The Log’. This publication gives the membership not only a record of the discussion of models, some of it very detailed, but also articles on research and modelmaking techniques.

Informal pond meetings for those whose interest lies in working models. These are open to the public.

Opportunities to discuss and exhibit marine paintings
